BrainPuzzles

Privacy

BrainPuzzles is a puzzle site and app. You can play entirely as a guest with no account. Signing in is optional and only used to save your progress across devices. We use analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and the site is supported by ads. Here is the full list of what gets stored, in plain language.

What stays in your browser

Game progress lives in your browser's localStorage, on your device only: best scores and star ratings per page, your latest quiz result, your daily-riddle streak, level and campaign progress, the sound on/off switch, your sidebar preference, and any name you typed for a leaderboard. If you never sign in and never submit a score, none of it leaves your device. Clearing your browser data wipes it all.

Accounts and cloud save (optional)

You can sign in with Google or Facebook so your progress follows you across devices. When you do, we store your account's display name (to label the account) and your saved game state (levels, stars, lives, streaks). That is all: no passwords are handled by us (Google and Facebook verify you), and we never receive your contacts, photos, or messages. Guest play uses an anonymous id with no personal information. You can delete your account and all saved data at any time, see Delete your account and data.

What reaches our server

Your saved game state if you are signed in (or an anonymous save row if you are a guest), and leaderboard submissions if you post a score, the page, the name you entered, and the score. Pick any leaderboard name you like; it does not have to be your real one.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand basic, aggregate traffic, such as how many people visit and how many pages a visitor views in a session. Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookieless and does not track you across other sites. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure how the site is used; this data is aggregate and used to improve the puzzles and the site. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the official browser add-on.

Ads

The site and app are free and supported by ads (Google AdSense). Ad providers may use cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads. There are no in-app purchases. You can learn how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services on Google's policy page.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request data such as IP addresses in its server logs to deliver pages and protect the service. See the Vercel privacy policy for details on their side.

Deleting your data

To permanently delete your account and all saved game data, follow the steps on Delete your account and data. Guest progress is removed by clearing your browser data or on request.
