FAQ about Christmas Rebus Puzzles
Why do people put an orange in a Christmas stocking?
The custom is usually traced to stories of Saint Nicholas dropping gold through a window to save three sisters, with a round orange standing in for the gold. Oranges were also a rare winter luxury in cold countries, which made finding one a genuine treat.
Are these rebus puzzles easy enough for kids?
Most of them are. The emoji clues point at carols, treats and Santa, and younger kids usually crack them with a small nudge from an adult. A few longer phrases will stretch grown ups too.
Can I use these puzzles at a classroom or office party?
That is exactly what they are built for. Put the page on a big screen, show each rebus and let teams shout guesses before you reveal. Thirty puzzles fill a solid twenty minutes.
Once you have cracked these festive brainteasers, keep the holiday spirit going with our collection of Christmas riddles for the whole family, then head back to the full rebus puzzle hub to test yourself on even more picture-word challenges.
